What is a Cult?
Info Cult Information Centre (CIC):
- It uses psychological coercion to recruit, indoctrinate and retain its members
- It forms an elitist totalitarian society.
- Its founder leader is self-appointed, dogmatic, messianic, not accountable and has charisma.
- It believes the end justifies the means in order to solicit funds and recruit people.
- Its wealth does not benefit its members or society.
As a Cult expert explained it to me:
All cult leaders are much the same in terms of their personalities and the way in which they operate. In the same way, all cults are alike, even though each is also unique.
Each cult has its own leader and its own name/s, but the methods it uses to recruit and indoctrinate people are always taken from the same methods. These methods, referred to as mind control methods, techniques of psychological coercion or radicalisation methods, break a person down very quickly and bring about both a change of personality and a loss of critical ability. In other words, a cult member is a psychologically different person from the one they were prior to recruitment. In addition, the new cult member has lost his or her ability to critically evaluate, so everything the cult leader says seems to make marvellous sense, as though a huge light has just been switched on. The above described changes usually occur in the average person in the average cult in a matter of the first 3 or 4 days with the group.
A new cult member is therefore a VICTIM of these techniques, which seem to work most effectively on people with healthy minds.
Because the end result of the use of these techniques is that the new cult member can no longer choose, or think for themselves, they can be seen as being equivalent to people who have been psychologically kidnapped.

I managed to escape through unusual circumstances associated with Divine intervention. I want to encourage you, whatever your situation, to never stop praying and asking God for help. He hears your prayers, He sees your tears, He knows your heart.
I have written a book to help you to discern THE MIND CONTROL METHODS and RADICALISATION TECHNIQUES of a Cult and to encourage you to come out of it, if you would recognize similar experiences.
In my other book you can read in detail about my nine years in the Cult and how I was lured into it. Jesus gave warnings about false teachers in the last days. Deception would be widespread. He gave us His written Word – even the Bible - for many reasons. One of them was so that we could discern the truth and expose the false prophets.
